О ремейках

Слушала я сегодня Бекмамбетова и думала... Он что, серьезно восхищается тем, что делает? (Извините за неточность цитат) "Когда люди смотрят кино в 2D, им приходится включать воображение, а когда в 3D, они уже там, и воображение, мозг отключается." У меня один вопрос: это что, хорошо что-ли? Это что хорошо, когда люди видят происходящее на экране, и, не задумываясь, принимают это как есть, обращая внимание только на реалистичность исполнения? Нет, я понимаю, что и в театре, и в кино была и есть сфера "аттракционов" - многие комедии и ужасы как раз из них, но по-моему это уже не искусство. То, что направлено на что-то одно - будь то испугать, или рассмешить, или вызвать низменные желания - это уже не искусство. И связь Бёртона с ним не делает первому чести. Вообщем-то, еще начиная с "Алисы" он пошел по неправильному пути (превращать старую добрую сказку в фэнтэзи? да еще с таким изменением и упрощением сюжета?), и то, что раньше было почерком, сейчас воспринимается как нудная закономерность.



Мне не удалось послушать все интервью, а иначе список моих возмущений был бы гораздо длиннее, наверное. №2. Ведущий говорит, что у него есть один и беспроигрышный, абсолютно убедительный ответ всем тем, кто ругает ремейки. Якобы, как можно покушаться на святое, говорят они. ("Но я хочу послушать, что скажете вы", говорит он Бекмамбетову) Тут наш мэтр обращается к театру. "Почему же столь уважаемые театралы могут обращаться к классическим темам снова и снова, переигрывать их то так, то эдак, а нам, киношникам, нельзя?" А потом еще выдал вот что: "Каждому поколению хочется иметь своих "Джентльменов удачи!" Во как оказывается!
Вопрос 1: А у поколения он спрашивал? По-моему, часть нашего поколения вообще не знает, кто они такие, а та часть, которая знает, любит старых и не хочет никаких других.
Вопрос 2: Классика на то и есть классика, что в ней ставятся великие и вечные вопросы жизни, и поэтому, делая такие постановки, "театралы" напоминают нам, что время идет, века, тысячелетия, а эти вопросы до сих пор стоят, люди до сих пор должны над ними задумываться. А то, по чему создаются в последние годы ремейки, лишь отражают реалии дня, когда были созданы, и популярны и ценны они лишь поэтому! Каждый год то поколение пересматривает "Иронию судьбы", чтобы вспомнить, как все было одинаково, как все жили одинаково, что даже могли перепутать города, в которых жили годами! Смотрят и смеются, и мы, молодые, смеемся вместе с ними. Неужели сейчас все также? Что, строятся такие же абсолютно одинаковые жилые районы по всей стране? Да сейчас каждый хочет выпендриться если уж не в дизайне комплексов, так хоть в реальном способе потратить деньги, выделенные на их строительство! Любовь, скажете тут, вот тебе вечный вопрос. Извините, вы чтобы на любовь посмотреть оставляете каждый год ТВ на Первом, когда салатики режете? А, чтобы песни послушать... Ну, как скажете!

Кстати, о любви. Что сделали со "Служебным романом" - это вообще ни в какие рамки. Один только факт, что в качестве саундтреков использованы современные зарубежные хиты, должно было отбить всяческое желание сходить взглянуть на эту пародию на кино.

О новых "Джентльменах...", а именно "Джентльмены, удачи!", мне сказать нечего. Кто смотрел, судите сами.

This is one of my favorites... Ok, every song I write about is among my favorites:) This one was written by Hal David and Burt Bacharach for the 1969 film "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid". I find it quite hopefull, relaxing and a bit funny. Looks like it says "Don`t worry, everything`s gonna be alright:)"

Celebration of a Beautiful Mind

This article is out of my usual topics. I just was inspired by a new fashion in the world of series of recent few years especially which provide some kind of idea, which can be described with this short slogan - "Brain is a new sexy".

You probably may say, that it`s not the brain games which make the series interesting, but a story about a definite hero with unusual habbits and character traits, and the only thing people pay attention to is how other people can stand them. They also say, that series and films titled with a name (of the main character especially) are more sucessful then the others. And it`s true, I don`t deny. But I`m sure that watching the series you tried to find out what the hero was talking about, once or twice at last. That`s what I really appreciate.

So, here`re my thoughts about:
1. House M.D.
2. Doctor Who
3. The Big Bang Theory
4. Lie to me
5. White Collar
6. Suits
7. Eureka

I promissed to myself that I wouldn`t take classic detective stories, as I did`t have enough familiarity with such series as "Poirot", "Marple", "Murder She Wrote", I`ve just seen several episodes, but I can advice them to you. What about Sherlock Holmes, I`ve already written about him below.

1. HOUSE M.D.

The series is perhaps the famoust in the world. No, it definitely is! I`m glad that things like that are so popular...

The image of Dr. Gregory House, played by Hugh Laurie, is so attractive, and the most fascinating thing is that naturally the character with behavior like that doesn`t expect to be appreciated! The same thing is with Sherlock, that`s why people often compare them.

That`s not true that such series makes your mood go down - most people isn`t interested with these medecine stuff at all. Actually, I know a girl, who is, but I don`t think she`s going to be for a lot time:) (She`s watched 3 seasons by now.) But if you`re interested, you may learn a lot knew about your body... ok, may be about rare diseases:) But the main idea the story provides is "People, look after yourself! Don`t eat a garbage and don`t surround yourself with garbage! Everything effects you and every little thing can cause huge problems. Make the people around you (but firstly the doctors) know everything that bothers your body (don`t lie!)... And don`t worry: one in a million can get such a rare disease living as a normal person:)"

In spite of whatever you may say, House M.D. didn`t got worse, as other series did. RIP, by the way.
That`s a pity we didn`t manage to buy tickets for your concert, Hugh Laurie, I really enjoyed your album!

2. DOCTOR WHO

The character is a bit more pleasant, than House and Sherlock, people like him and are waiting the blue box in their apartment. So do I:)

Being not a responsible fan of the series, I still can`t find a free time to watch the classic Doctor Who, that lasted since 1963 to 1969. 26 seasons..!!! That means something, I guess. Lots of people grew up on the series and some of them made a new adapted 21st century`s version for us. I realy adore them, because every episode is a example of boundless imagination and action, that makes you feel thrilled, shoked sometimes, but the main is that it makes you think and dream. I do belive that many children were captured by it and since then they have been paying more attention to what`s happening in the world around them. The same situation always happens with books about Sherlock Holmes, when inspired readers become some kind of sleuths, examining people in the metro, buses and streets trying to guess what they do to earn for a living or other personal stuff like that. I`m completely sure that they became more interested in Physics, Science and things like that. What about me, my chain of interests is this: Doctor Who - Sherlock -  Benedict Cumberbatch - Hawking + The Big Bang Theory = now I`m reading "The Grand Design", trying to understand what Steven meant:) That was a long way, yeah!


3. THE BIG BANG THEORY
This is my favorite picture of the cast. Everybody is so sweet:)


Hm, what can I say here? At first I`ve heared a lot about the series and that`s only why I thought it was completely stupid:) When I watched several episodes, I... I can`t say I fell in love, I just watched it all and then rewatched from the first to the last episode. and continue watching. The quantity of subjects the characters mention is wide and deep - from theoretical physics to relationships. Absolutely everyone can find something interesting for them. I`m sure it was made to be international - just look at the heroes they`ve chosen: jews, indians, americans - all live together having friendships or relationships with pretty (or not so pretty) girls and boys with a bit strange habbits and hobbies. That really means the world has little boundaries left.
Also series and comics fans will find a plenty of links. Due to BBT I watched Star Track and Firefly. The first was quite... annoying, but the second was a real pleasure! RIP, Firefly.

4. LIE TO ME

 

The series wasn`t really successful in Russia, but anyway some people bought books of Paul Ekman
with Tim Roth on the cover. I downloaded and read it:) In fact I didn`t even try to practise to recognise lying, but I found the book rather interesting, especially while reading about the process of verification in government bodies, if I can say so. Perfect for those who is interested in psychology.

5. WHITE COLLAR

Do you want an unerthly handsome guy persuade you that art is a great thing? Watch "White Collar":)


I think the series is about a lot of things: how to make money in dishonest ways, how to loose your head completely due to love, how to return a trust of your friend after you`ve had offended him many times... The series is a long line, but every episode has its "detective" story that effects it. The main character is a swindler specializing on falsify documents and art works, who at last was captured by an FBI agent, who had been looking for him for many years.  That`s why conversations will be about paintings, coins, loan securities, history, means of spying and so on. Love lines are included: which series is without them?


6. SUITS


That`s one of many series I came across watching our Russian The First Channel. You know, mostly there`s a complete rubbish shown, but at night something good manage to get there.
The series is about scince of law. I mean, it`s about how to evade laws and that there`s always a way to evade them. That`s probably the least useful science for you, of course (if you`re not a lawer), but there is an important idea - high education is not a lot and quite usually not enough. One of the main character is a guy with a photographic memory and huge talent for dealing with documents. He didn`t graduate The University of Harvard, but managed to get a job wich only Harvard graduated could get legally. Later it`s found out that many of those Harvard graduated boys didn`t cost as much as he did. That`s not just a fairy tale - my dad is an example. ... Ha, I don`t mean he is Harvard graduated:) - he just founded and leads his own company without any high education. I`m very proud of him.

7. EUREKA


"Eurika" is one of the projects that tries to make the science popular. It`s a science fiction series, that I found very interesting as soon as I watched an episode by chance. It doesn`t show you common spaceships, aliens and so on. It tries to impress you with everything that looks strange and alien at first but can be explained by science. Actually, I`m not quite sure what is real there and what isn`t... Anyway, the characters get into such rediculous and funny situations, that you can`t stop laughing and stay untill you find out how they manage to find a solution to the problem. Those scientists are inquisitive, hardworking, but clumsy and arrogant sometimes so there`s a lot of different accidents may happen in their secret laboratories:)

Обстоятельства, которые привели меня в этот город, не подлежат разглашению, уж извините - решение не моё. Но всё равно наше знакомство прошло довольно гладко и оставило только приятные впечатления.


Как и обычно, я не буду говорить ни о чём том, что вы сможете прочитать на Википедии, только впечатления.


Жили мы в отеле почти в центре города, комнаты были типа "living", что было очень удобно. Знаете, мы, видимо, из такой особой группы туристов, которые боятся прикоснуться к культуре посещаемой страны. В Лондоне мы жевали сандвичи, а в Мюнхене не соизволили даже раз побывать в ресторане, чтобы попробовать что-нибудь мясное. Ну и так как мы ни разу не были в ресторане, мы все время пользовались мини-кухней, которая есть в каждой комнате гостиницы. Надеюсь, когда-нибудь у меня появятся друзья, с которыми можно путешествовать. 


So little time... Нескольких дней всегда мало, особенно если они не распланированы.
Мы успели посмотреть музей BMW, рыбок в аквариуме "SeaLife"... метро, магазины... троллейбусы... улицы... Кажется, всё.


Хотя в музей производства автомобилей знаменитой марки мы пошли по инициативе мужской части нашей группы, для меня там тоже нашлись интересные экспонаты. Их фотографии я, пожалуй, выложу с другой статьей, к которой они подходят по теме. А так... ну, музей сделан довольно расчетливо, технологично. Ну а что вы еще ожидали? Например взять первое, на что вы непременно обратите внимание в первую очередь - эдакая "стена славы": с верхнего этажа до нижнего спускается линия времени разработанных мотоциклов для различных нужд, от бытовых до военных. Для автомобилей такое бы нигде не вместилось, но наиболее известные, как я понимаю, модели выставлены, конечно же, так что заглядывайте в комнаты. Там вы еще найдете видео, фотографии, аудиозаписи, которые начинают проигрываться, как только вы подойдете к экспонату. Новейшие модели, кстати, представлены в салоне через шоссе, куда вы можете попасть по специальному мосту. Вход в салон, сами понимаете, бесплатный, в музей - 9 евро с человека

 Рыбки, рыбки... Рыбки были красивые, но этот аквариум - всего лишь интересный т познавательный аттракцион для маленьких детей. Он есть во многих крупных городах Европы.

Метро устроено не так, как у нас. Оно не "теплое", так сказать, стоишь как на остановке  как на улице, только под землей. Двери открываются ручкой в старых вагонах или касанием руки специальной панели в новых. На центральной линии ходят удивительные для нас поезда - полностью сквозные, так что вы можете видеть, как из стороны в сторону колеблется его хвост. Билет, кстати, можно купить в автомате с инструкцией на русском языке. Ассортимент тарифов широкий. Но более всего понравилось в транспорте то, что он приходит по расписанию. На остановках общественного транспорта и в метро висят электронные табло, показывающие через сколько минут он прибудет.

(Кстати, как показать на карте метро на каждой станции, где вы сейчас находитесь? Напечатать на каждой точку “You are here"? Все гораздо проще - просто кнопка. Цветная канцелярская  кнопка. Фото 3.)

Недалеко от нашего отеля был канал, который вел к зданию музея. Зимой там, кстати, катаются на коньках. В первый раз мне пришлось там погулять, потом я свернула на тихие улицы, где были расположены двухэтажные дома с чудными ухоженными двориками. Больше всего мне наверно понравились дома. Разнообразной формы, цвета, некоторые с прекрасной внешней отделкой. С чистыми красивыми участками с кустиками, деревьями, а летом, скорее всего и цветами. Ах да, еще с велосипедами. Велосипедов там много, очень много. Если так много зимой, боюсь даже представить, что же творится летом. 
Немного углубившись, я наткнулась на местность, полную небольших огороженных сеткой участков земли с маленькими сарайчиками. Кое-где лежали детские игрушки, а где-то садовый инвентарь. Никто не раскроет мне тайну, что это за импровизированные огороды были?

Ну и последнее: по мне, лучше лететь нашими S7, нежели немецкими Air Berlin, так как в последнем нам на "горячий обед" предложили только сандвич с курицей. Извините, но мы ими в Лондоне уже объелись.

Let me think about... Sherlock Holmes

There are about 200 attempts of screen versions and about 70 successful. But if you are keen on stories about Sherlock Holmes, I would strongly recommend you to watch these three ones. Others are a rubbish. Guy Ritchie`s are as well:)

#3.    Sherlock, 2010-..., 3 seasons + Christmas Special (2016) so far

This is the one and only (by now) version of Sherlock Holmes living in the 21st century with its gadgets, the Internet, GPS and so on. There is no need to describe how great and special it is - lots of fans all over the world will tell you.
