Did you know that sometimes newspapers can bring you news of tomorrow? Of course, only if you`re chosen - a nice guy with an extremely kind heart and a big soul. That who the main character of the "Early Edition" series is!

А вы могли предположить, что газета может приносить завтрашние новости? Конечно только в том случае, если вы избраны - как этот милый парень с невозможно добрым сердцем и огромной душой. Он - герой сериала "Завтра наступит сегодня".

 The thing is that every day a pretty ginger cat brings him a newspaper which includes acticles that should be written only the folowing day, so the guy has a chance to prevent the bad things that can happen the present one. In the one hand it seems to be cool to have such an oppotunity, but on the other it`s like a hard hard job that replace others ones and that you even can`t tell about anybody.

Дело в том, что симпатичная рыжая кошка постоянно приносит ему газеты со статьями, которые выйдут в свет только на следующий день, так что у героя есть шанс предотвратить те трагедии, которые могли бы случиться. С одной стороны возможность иметь такой дар кажется прекрасным, но на самом деле это тяжелая работа, о которой невозможно кому нибудь рассказать.



What`s good about the series? It teaches us kindness, softheartness to people, so mostly advised for children. Some of the situations are realy interesting in the way how to cope with them. Also all of the actors play really very well. What`s bad? It`s quite difficult to find enough patience to watch all of the 4 seasons of many 45 minutes series.

Что хорошего в этом сериале? Он учит добру, добросердечию людей, так что рекомендован в основном детям. Многие ситуации очень интересны в том смысле, как можно с ними справиться. Также, все актеры играют очень хорошо. Что плохого? Не у многих найдется терпения просмотреть все 4 сезона сериала, в котором необычно мало экшена по сравнению с другими. Но это как посмотреть...


I highly recomend you to watch it. Then say, would you like to live like him?

The Sixth - "Lie to me"

Firstly I heard about the film on a radio programm ("Silver Rain Radio"), moreover it was highly recomended! In fact... I don`t know what special in it besides the great idea of how the lie has appeared:)



Odinary actors, odinary plot in order to make the atmosphere of everyday routine. The girl lookes like a doll - artificial, stupid and uninteresting character. In the other hand it`s quite interesting to watch the world where nobody can say any lie, but it seems to be a little overplayed and long - so, that after sometime you`re already sleeping:). Anyway it make you think what to say to people, I mean, truth is good, but lie turned out not to be bad eather!



So, what`s your choise?

Let me think about... the "Interstate 60"

Usually rather popular things are thought to have no hidden meaning or rather good things are not popular enough.  I`m going to take sometimes some of them for a discussion.

The Fifth - "Life like a trip" Discussion of the "Interstate 60" movie.


This one has quite different opinions about it: ones say that it`s a stupid fairy-tale with popular scatty actor on the main role and others just notice great actors` starring there. Ones find there a real current of life with its advantures, difficulties and so on and others find its happy ending meaningless, trite and impossible in a real life. That is said to be its main problem. 

In my opinion, the fictional side of the film is made so that it must be interesting for people of every age. Comparing different cultures it`s turning into its own way and then coming through the plot, the caracters. Then we find out that it could easily be just a dream - the thing that made Nail change his attitude to life.

Having watched the film I found out that the situation of Nail isn`t fictional at all - he was a boy looking for his way of life - the situation of mine right now. It is really difficult to understand what`s your ability are and I don`t know where to search the answers. It would be much better of course to have some kind of these fantastic things in our world. Other way what do we see - a guy is riding a mystery road, meeting different people, a little bit strange, but we all are, aren`t we? Actually that`s not the man - O.W.Grant with his ability of making your wish come true is responsible for all these changings in Nail - there`re only those "odinary" people are, only with their help he finally gets his place in life. That`s the point that make a fairy-tale come into reality.


















Considering that we come to a conclusion that the film was made to give as answers how to live. In fact it`s not true. During the film we just get more and more questions, mostly beginning with "What if..." And also there`re lots of problems that should be discussed in our world too. They may be not deep enough to make the film philosophical, what could bring make it a little bit boring I guess. Other way these "small" problems of truth and lie for example make the movie very attractive.

















In conclusion I`d like to say that I can`t understand why the style it`s made in is argued the most. I think they wanted to keep an atmosphere of crazy 70s which was made really beatufull. Filled with jokes, well-known actors and an unique love story it makes "Interstate 60" one of my favorite films. And are you looking for answers?

Let me think about... the "Sleuth"

Usually rather popular things are thought to have no hidden meaning or rather good things are not popular enough.  I`m going to take sometimes some of them for a discussion.

The Forth - "Get your senses ready." Discussion of the "Sleuth" movie.

Have you seen something similar to this? Hope, you`ll say - "Of course - the "Sleuth" of 1972!", - and you`ll right, instead of the fact that the first one is remake of another one.

What`s you gonna find boring in here? The long dialogs? There`re full of passion and you can`t stop following them. Slow actions? But watch how nervious it makes you and how unique is the plot. In addition, you`ll  never find other actors that could play it so soft and with such a desire. And don`t make a fan of Jude Law of me - he isn`t the only reason why I love the film, as you see.

Actually, those`re not the right pictures to describe it. The most beautiful scenes are in the film. I urgently recomend you to watch it. It won`t leave you indifferent.

Let me think about... the "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow"

Usually rather popular things are thought to have no hidden meaning or rather good things are not popular enough.  I`m going to take sometimes some of them for a discussion.

The Third - "It`s still not true."  Discussion of the "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" movie.

That`s what we used to say about science-fiction movies when we live in the time which was described there. Actually, there`s a film that is quite separate of them.

Made in 2004 and describing the 30`s of 20th century, "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" shows us a time that never existed. It is mix of the world of robots and other technical suplies that we`re all waiting for and colours of modern world of the 30`s. That what makes the film quite difficult to recognise for a mind. The things that makes it attractive are nice jokes, beatuful pictures and neverchanging important topics: friendship, love, saving the humanity, truth and lie and so on. In fact, that`s all that is special about the film. The thing I`d like to say is that it is made perfectly well, not worse than other action movies and it has all rights to be highly estimated. And what`s your opinion?

Let me think about... the "Doctor Who"

Usually rather popular things are thought to have no hidden meaning or rather good things are not popular enough.  I`m going to take sometimes some of them for a discussion.

The Second - "Would you like to be him?" Discussion of the "Doctor Who" series.

Here`re only two faces of the caracter of the series - the best ones I think. "Doctor Who" is well known in Great Britain, in the USA, but not in Russia. Why? Almost all of the reviews I`ve seen are good, I mean, people, who watched it, enjoyed it a lot. One Russian said that there`re no logic at all, anything can happen that even doesn`t have a sense in the plot`s rules. Actually, it`s not as "fairytaleous" as the "Charmed" for example, and it really doesn`t have a right to have any mistakes, but it doesn`t, really doesn`t! I think, that`s the series that should be shown on the STS channel and not our stupid "Margosha", "Daddy`s daughters" and so on.

Anyway almost all of the people noticed a psychological, serious side of it.You know, these questions about wars, genocide are really important and they`re here as well as the problem of having this kind of life as he has got: always feel the pain, to be so lonely when nobody can understand you exept of your enemies. I just want to say, that the side was made extraodinary well - the way I even couldn`t expect it to be. I think it`s just underestimated. The situation with this thing was the same as with the "Equilibrium" movie - when I showed it to my parents and friends the reaction was just like "And what? What is so special about it?" Tell me why I can`t understand it and just not to pay attention to them - it makes me doubt very much: may be I`m wrong...

Another question is what`s so special about David McDonald (Tennant - as you know, the name was taken of one of the "Pet Shop Boys" band musicians)? He is not extremely handsome, not extremely famous in his almost 40s. Answer: as I see, a lot of really well-known actors (take any of celebrities) play so as the caracter of the movie should behave. And that`s right. But you never can see him in one or another role when, for example, you see his photo or watch another movie of him. It seems to me that David likes to choose caracter for himself. Or, no, he plays in his own style, and that`s why it seems this way. When I watch a rare film with him, I`ll see only Doctor. (no, it isn`t true now:)) May be it is bad. But it is the difference.

If it was true, would I like to be like The Doctor? No, of course.
Would I like to be with The Doctor? Definitely!

Обычно довольно популярные вещи не имеют особого значения, когда действительно хорошие не достаточно распространены. Мне бы хотелось их обсудить.

The First - "What if..." Discussion of the "Eqilibrium" movie.

Первое - "Что если..." Обсуждение фильма "Эквилибриум".

Remember that? Definetly, if you thought that there is something in this film instead of guns, fights and so on. But be sure that you`re one of a small number of people.

Помните это? Естественно, если у вас возникла мысль, что в этом фильме есть больше, чем пушки, драки и т.д. Но немногие так считают.

The "Equilibrium" is said to be similar as the "Matrix" and have an idea as the "Fahrenheit 451" by R.Bradbury. Actually I agree with the second one, it has its points like burning books, words about future and bla, bla, bla... And it`s like Matrix because of the guns and the coat? Isn`t it all only a cover?

"Эквилибриум" считается списанным с "Матрицы" и "451 по Фаренгейту" Рэя Бредбери. Я частично согласна со вторым, так как есть эпизоды с сожжением произведений искусства, идея деградации общества, представления о будущем и прочее. Но неужели так много занимают батальные сцены, что за ними ничего больше не видно?






































But what can be inside? First - pain of loss. So strong that it can hardly be hide even in dangerous moments. Second - fear of the future. The idea that drugs will save the world is more than unbelievable, but devided into peices... you know... I really can`t understand why people have to make killer machines out of odinary people by telling them that it`s for their country. Isn`t it better to do something... good for it. You know that military people usually don`t have what to do in a peace time, they are not able to do something else because of some kind of stamp in their heads. Such people were showed in the film. Why do we need these people? Should we make them wake up?

Но что же здесь "внутри"? Во первых, боль утраты. Такая сильная, что ее не получается скрыть даже в опасные моменты. Во вторых, страх за будущее. Идея, что какой-то наркотик спасет человечество больше, чем просто невероятна. Я никогда не могла понять, почему одни люди делают из других машины для убийства, говоря, что это ради их родной страны. Неужели не лучше сделать что-то хорошее... Обычно люди, долго работающие в военной сфере, не знают, чем заниматься в свободное время - они привыкли убивать, что убило все доброе, живое у них в голове. Именно такие люди показаны в этом фильме. Зачем нам нужны такие люди? Может нужно их "разбудить"?

 In conclusion, I`d like to say that the love side was made in a really good way because it`s based on things that are more than one-second feelings, desire etc. She had an influense on him but not in a narcissistic way - she made him wake up.

В заключение хотелось бы сказать, что любовная сюжетная линия сделана действительно хорошо, раскрыты все стороны чувств героев. Героиня сильно повлияла на героя, она его пробудила.
